HUDSON, N.H. – Derek Griffith looks to start 2023 off on a high-note this week, when the New Hampshire native heads to New Smyrna Speedway to compete in the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing.

As a two-time World Series champion (in a row, 2020 and 2021), Griffith is no stranger to the high-banks of New Smyrna. He’s won often, and made it to the end of the week in contention for the title. This year, he hopes to do the same – putting what was a tough 2022 behind him – and starting the new season off at the top of his game.

“I'm just excited to get back to racing and focusing on running well with our own family stuff,” Griffith said. “Last year was a tough one. I'm looking forward to a reset and starting 2023 off on a good note at the World Series, which is always a fun week.”

Griffith will compete as part of the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing beginning on Friday, February 10. The nine nights of New Smyrna action includes seven Super Late Model races where Griffith will compete, including two 100-lap events. All races will air live on FloRacing.TV for those who can’t make it to the track.
